🌧️ **FRIENDLY REMINDER – HELP US KEEP THE WATER FLOWING!** 💧

With the recent wet conditions, the Town of Tisdale Public Works crew is working hard to keep water flowing properly by checking and clearing culverts and drainage areas throughout the community.

Residents can help too! 🏡

✅ Keep culverts, ditches and drainage areas near your property clear of leaves, grass clippings, garbage and other debris.
✅ Avoid placing items where they may block the natural flow of water.
✅ Check your property for areas where water may be backing up.
✅ Please give our Public Works equipment and crews plenty of space while they are working.
✅ If you notice a blocked culvert or drainage issue that may require Town attention, please contact the Town Office.

Even a small blockage can make a big difference during heavy rainfall. Working together helps keep the water moving and reduces the risk of flooding in our community.

Thank you for your patience and for helping our Public Works crew keep Tisdale safe and flowing!

📅 Start Date: September 17, 2026
💰 Starting Wage: $20.00/hour – negotiable based on qualifications

The successful applicant will assist with the maintenance of parks, green spaces, trails, cemetery grounds, recreational facilities, equipment operation, groundskeeping, custodial duties, event set-up and more.

The Town of Tisdale’s 2025 Audited Financial Statements, audited by Janke LLP, are now available for the public to view.

The statements provide an overview of the Town’s financial position and results for the 2025 fiscal year, promoting transparency and accountability to our residents and community.

2025 Public Reporting on Municipal Waterworks

Total waterworks revenue: $1,711,512
Total waterworks expenses: $1,441,452
Ratio: 1.19

For 2025, waterworks revenue covers 19% more than the waterworks expenses in 2025.

Note that the following information required pursuant to Section 54 of the Municipalities Regulations is available for inspection at the municipal office during regular business hours:
• Current waterworks rate policy and capital investment strategy (also posted on our website)
• Current waterworks reserves
• A copy of the most recent waterworks independent engineering assessment
• Capital plans for infrastructure projects
• Sources of funding for the capital plans
• All current agreements entered into by the municipality respecting the provision of municipal waterworks

📢 TOWN OF TISDALE – COUNCIL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

The Town of Tisdale Council met on August 24, 2026. Here are some of the key decisions and discussions from the meeting:

🏛️ Delegation – SaskPower Culverts
Sean White discussed concerns regarding the size and capacity of culverts at SaskPower entrances and their impact on drainage and flooding in adjacent residential areas.

💧 Waterworks Rate Policy & Capital Investment Strategy Bylaw
Council approved Bylaw 9/26, establishing a transparent and financially sustainable framework for waterworks and sanitary sewer utility rates, capital planning, investment, reserve management and reporting.

🏗️ Asset Management Prairie Support Program
Council supported the Town’s participation in the Asset Management Prairie Support Program, sponsored by NAMS Canada, at no cost to the Town.

🏪 Storefront Enhancement Grant
Council approved Canna Cabana’s application for a $5,000 Storefront Enhancement Grant for the 2027 calendar year.

🤝 Contract of Service
Council authorized Administration to enter into a short-term consulting/transition services agreement with former Director of Public Works Mike Kuras to provide operational support, knowledge transfer and transition assistance until a new Director is appointed and sufficiently trained.

🏢 New Town Office – Request for Proposal
Council instructed Administration to prepare a Request for Proposal for the construction of the New Town Office, based on the conceptual design approved at the meeting.
