May 27th at 3:40 p.m., TFD responded to a tractor fire north of Tisdale. Members responded with Pumper 1, Wildland unit, and Tanker. Upon arrival, the tractor was found to be discing the field, emitting smoke, and igniting the stubble. Members formed teams to tackle the tractor and the rapidly spreading field fire, fueled by wind. Local farmers assisted by creating a firebreak with tractors and plows, preventing the fire from spreading into a nearby bush-filled ravine. After a 3-hour operation, members confirmed the scene was clear and returned to the hall, resuming service at 7:30 p.m.
