🥳 Chatham-Kent, YOU stood up to break the stigma! We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of month-long collection drives leading up to the first Period Promise Social Celebration!

✨ Over 1,000 packages of menstrual hygiene products were collected and more than $3,000 donated to support Period Promise in Chatham-Kent✨

Period poverty is a reality right here in our community and YOU showed up to break the stigma. We want to thank our Social Celebration Sponsor, Unifor Local 2458, every business that fundraised, workplace or group that collected products, and individuals who organized a drive, dropped off donations, or cheered us on. Together, we are changing lives!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and it’s time to talk about the stressors that impact our community's well-being. With 1 in 4 households in Chatham-Kent now struggling to meet basic needs, the stress of period poverty—missing school, work, or social life—is a barrier to dignity and wellness.

Our Tilbury Information and Help Centre - United Way of Chatham-Kent has been busy & we need your help keeping up with the rising need for emergency food assistance. If you’re able to donate, you’ll be providing a lifeline to neighbours in Tilbury and surrounding communities.
Most Needed Items:
🍲 Canned meats and stews
🍏 School snacks for local kids

Donations can be dropped off at the Centre during regular open hours (26 Queen St. N., Tilbury) OR to our Chatham Office (425 McNaughton Ave. W.) and we will deliver them to the Centre for you! Thank you to all who donate💓
