TOWNSHIP OF ORLEANS
STATE OF MICHIGAN

The position of Orleans Township Treasurer will appear on the August 2, 2022 Primary Election and November 8, 2022 General Election ballots. Any Orleans Township elector who would be interested in running for the office should contact the Ionia County Clerk to obtain information and forms to proceed.
To qualify as the Township Treasurer, a person must be a township elector, but property ownership is not required. An elector is defined as someone 18 years of age, who is a US citizen, and has lived at least 30 days in the township in which they desire to serve.
Visit the Michigan Department of State Elections website for the required information on running as a township treasurer.

The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidate(s) for the position of Orleans Township Treasurer.

This notice is posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, (MCL 41.72a(2)(3)), and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Orleans Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio recordings of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids at the meeting or public hearing upon 2-day notice to the Orleans Township Board. ORLEANS TOWNSHIP

LANDFILL VOUCHER PROCEDURE

The treasurer’s office discontinued issuing Landfill Vouchers on 12/31/21. Effective January 1, 2022 please proceed as follows to receive your Orleans Township Landfill voucher for 2022.

Send your voucher request along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to PITSCH SANITARY LANDFILL, 7905 Johnson Road, Belding, Michigan 48809. Include your name (as it appears on the title of your property) and the address that the voucher is issued for. Pitsch will issue a voucher and return it to you in your self-addressed, stamped envelope.
If your request does not contain a self-addressed stamped envelope or your name and property address, they will not take any further action.
You can request your voucher in person from the Pitsch Landfill office on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. On other days, please be advised that, depending on the customers they are serving, you may have a lengthy wait.
