Dew Drop Inn Thunder Bay St. Andrew's Dew Drop Inn soup kitchen was established in 1981 to address the needs of the hungry in the community of Thunder Bay.

The Dew Drop Inn is open 7 days a week and currently during the pandemic we offer a cold take-home lunch from 9 am to 3:30 pm or a hot take home meal from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. We provide a safe, welcoming environment where hungry men, women and children can access food with no questions asked and are treated with respect and dignity..

We always love when our friends from the Rotaract Club of Thunder Bay are in the building! This wonderful crew was here Sunday morning doing our cold bagged lunch assembly, preparing our sandwiches, preparing our desserts for our hot meal and various other jobs on our never ending to do list. WOW! Thank you so much to Pam & Juliano who stopped in Friday afternoon. Pam & The ladies at Sister Leila Greco were hard at work this week preparing 175 loot bags for us to give out on Halloween day. We are excited to be able to give these extras out for those who stop by on the 31st. Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in preparing these loots bags for us to distribute. We truly appreciate the role you all play in our Compassion Kitchen.

We love when Blake & Josh stop by from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre Farm Program. They never come empty handed when they stop by for a visit. Yesterday they brought us a mix of potato's, brussels sprouts, squash and beets! This local initiative has been absolutely amazing for our compassion kitchen. We are so thankful for the delicious fresh produce we get to receive on a weekly basis. From all of us at the Dew Drop Inn thank you so much for all you do for us.

We could not do what we do without our amazing volunteers! Thank you so much to our friends from Synergy North who spent the afternoon with us serving our daily hot meal. Thunder Bay has a huge heart! Thank you so much to our friends from Twin City who stopped by yesterday afternoon bringing us a variety of chips & pepperettes for us to use in our Compassion Kitchen. Last night was another super successful Annual Take Me Home Dinner with our friends from United Way of Thunder Bay. Thank you so much to our presenting sponsor NWMO & to our friends from RBC who were here serving this delicious meal. Thank you so much to St. Anthony's for preparing their signature meatloaf and for all the hands that went into making this dinner so successful. We also would like to take a second to appreciate everyone who purchased tickets & pay it forwards. A dinner like this would not be so successful without all of your support. Thank you to each person who stopped by this past week with donations. We are so thankful for all of your ongoing support and the role each one of you play in our compassion kitchen. This week for our wish list we are requesting a mix of high need items. First on our list this week is canned cream of mushroom soup something we find to be very versatile and used in numerous different recipes. We are also requesting crackers this week as we try to always provide crackers with our daily soup and have begun to run a tad low. The last two items on our list are margarine & mayonnaise which preparing on average over 240 sandwiches daily it is safe to say we use a plentiful amount of both these items. This may be our wish list for the week but any and all donations are highly encouraged and accepted with a smile. Donations can be dropped off daily between 9am-330pm. Thank you all for assisting us to provide a good meal daily. We could not do this without your support.

Tomorrow is the day!
It is not to late to get your tickets for our Annual Take Me Home Dinner with our friends from United Way of Thunder Bay . Our friends from St. Anthony's will be in the kitchen preparing their signature Meatloaf which will be served with mashed potato's, roasted chefs vegetables, gravy & a fresh Bennett's Bakery dinner roll. Dessert will be your choice of either blueberry cheesecake or granny cake. Tickets are for sale here at the Dew Drop Inn and we also have online tickets for sale by clicking on the link below. Tickets are $20 each with a pay it forward option for an additional $20. Thank you so much to our sponsor NWMO. We hope to see everyone tomorrow and make sure to bring your appetite.
