Fresh produce is GOLD! Fresh vegetables can be expensive and, at times, difficult to source for food programs like ours. That’s why we’re especially grateful to receive over 600 kg of fresh corn, zucchini, and carrots from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.

A huge thank you to everyone who put in the time and effort to make this donation happen. These donations will be put to good use and will help provide nutritious food to thousands of people in our community.

We’re doing it again! Next Saturday at 10 AM, we’ll be at the Wasaya hangar helping pull the airplane as part of the United Way of Thunder Bay's annual event, and we’d love to have your support once again!

Our RFDA team is taking part to help raise funds for our community, and this year, our goal is $800. It would mean a lot to us, and every dollar makes a difference.

It was great to welcome Robert Quill from Pikangikum First Nation back to the RFDA facility after a long time. Our newly appointed Executive Director, Mark Kmill, had the opportunity to give Robert a tour of the facility and connect about the needs of the community.

At the RFDA, our goal is simple: listen, understand the needs of our neighbours, and work together to find ways we can help. Strong partnerships are an important part of making sure food reaches the communities that need it most.

Last year alone, the RFDA sent more than 13,133 kg of dry goods to Pikangikum First Nation to support community members. There is still more work to do, but we need to work together. WE ALL ARE IN THIS TOGETHER!

Inside our meat processing room, our volunteers were hard at work processing and packaging a 350 kg pig, generously donated by local farmers Charlie and Jody!

A huge thank you to Glenn, who led the operation (and kept everyone on track! ), along with Bill, Dez, our talented cook, and Chiara, for putting in the time and effort to make it all happen.
