Are you between the ages of 16-29?

Join us for the 2026 MNO Youth Leadership Conference.

This August, Métis youth from across Ontario will gather in Thunder Bay for our 10th Annual Youth Leadership Conference - a powerful opportunity to connect, learn, and lead.

When: Tuesday, August 11 to Wednesday August 12, 2026
Where: Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre, 1 Valhalla Inn Rd, Thunder Bay
Who: Verified MNO citizens ages 16–29 (Youth under 18 will need a chaperone.)

This year's theme is Building Our Nation: Métis Youth and Self-Governance. Participants can expect:

- Interactive workshops on self-governance and Métis leadership
- Land-based learning experiences
- A unique opportunity to connect with Métis youth from across the province
- Storytelling sessions that celebrate our identity and community

Application approvals will consider regional representation, past event attendance, and attendance at the AGA to support balanced participation and engagement. Applicants will be contacted by the YLC Team regarding the status of their application by end of June.

Join us for our annual family camping experience at beautiful Ball's Falls Conservation Area, where children and families can connect with Métis culture, community, and the land.

On Sat., April 25 Council had a Forest of the Future Tree planting event at Balls Falls Conservation Area. The 23 trees we planted that day were dedicated to Kelly Brishke.

This past Sat. May 9 at our Family Fun Day, Senator Sequin, Councillor Martin and President Pont placed the dedication plaque.
