And that's a wrap! I had a blast running in this year's municipal election. I truly love our city. After talking to many residents, I feel positive and energized after this campaign. For those who have supported me or may cast their vote before 8:00 pm tonight, thank you for your support and putting your faith in me to be your voice on city council. Also, please feel free to meet me at Club Belvedere tonight following the polls closing. Thank you, Thorold.

Reliable and accessible transit 🚍🚌

If voting for me, I will advocate for:

• Making sure that amalgamated transit does not mean less service for Thorold
• Free transit for high school students
• More half hour service at night
• Making sure stops are clear from snow and ice during winter
• Making sure transit signs are visible
• Continued service and service for the new developments
• Possible park and rides to connect those in rural areas to transit
• Benches and shelters at stops, specifically at stops with high usage

Affordable Housing

If elected, I would:

• Motion to push the provincial and federal governments to implement long overdue housing strategies
• Ensure adequate social services and supports, including mental health and addictions supports
• Coordinate with Niagara Regional Housing, Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation and other community groups such as Habitat for Humanity to ensure affordable housing supply is increased
• Encourage employers to provide living wages and advocate for increases to OW and ODSP to reduce poverty
• Vote to require that the Community Improvement Plan is only utilized for affordable housing projects, not luxury developments

If elected I plan to:

• Strategically and appropriately employ the City's Community Improvement Plan for industrial areas
• Consider zoning and ensure proper planning principles are adhered to
• Work with Thorold Business Improvement Area to determine needs
• Hold Townhall meetings to determine citizen needs, e.g., expanded, accessible, affordable and convenient grocery options
• Partner with Niagara College to foster manufacturing innovation and bringing green jobs to City
• Use technology (e.g., develop an app to promote restaurants and events) to bring more people to downtown Thorold
