Boil Water Advisory Update

As we head into the weekend, we would like to remind residents that the Boil Water Advisory issued on June 1, 2026 for Albert Street, Edward Street, Dawson Street from Albert to Water Street and Water Street from Dawson St to HWY 17, remains in effect until we receive notification from Algoma Public Health that it has been lifted.

We will post updates on the Town website and page as soon as we receive further information.

In addition to our Farmers Market, we are pleased to offer additional vendor spaces at the Thessalon Marina.

These spaces provide an opportunity for vendors who may not qualify as a Farmers' Market Vendor to showcase their products, crafts, etc. at the marina.

Both seasonal and part-time vendor commitments are available.

Vendor spaces are limited.

The Deadline for the Food Truck Tender for the Thessalon Marina has been extended until Friday June 5, 2026 at noon.

The Town of Thessalon is accepting sealed tenders to provide and operate a food truck at the Thessalon Marina for the 2026 operating season.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY
June 1, 2026

TO CONSUMERS OF THE TOWN OF THESSALON WATER SYSTEM LOCATED:
ALBERT STREET
EDWARD STREET
DAWSON STREET FROM ALBERT TO WATER STREET
WATER STREET from DAWSON to HWY 17

Effective June 1, 2026 the Town of Thessalon, under the authority of the Ontario Clean Water Agency and the guidance of the Algoma Public Health, is advising the above residents that they will be under a Boil Water Advisory.

The water should not be used for the following purposes without first bringing it to a rapid, rolling boil for at least one full minute: drinking, making infant formula and juices, cooking, making ice, washing fruit and vegetables and dental care.

The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until work on the system is completed and microbiological samples confirm the safety of the water. This is a localized problem and only households and businesses in the affected will receive this Notice.
