Beginning as early as the end of this week (September 3/4) or early next week (September 8), roadwork will be underway in the 4500 block of Lazelle Avenue between Kalum Street and Atwood Street. Updates include sidewalk repairs, adjusting catch basins, and repaving the entire roadway. This project will continue until early October 2026.

Good to know:
➡️Pedestrian access remains open.
➡️Traffic patterns will be adjusted as needed; please expect minor delays.
➡️Road closures to remove asphalt and later to pave will be communicated when they arise.
➡️Business access will remain available but temporary driveway closures may be required at times.
➡️Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine building access and parking lot will also remain available, but the parking stalls out in front may not be accessible.
➡️Want to detour around the construction? Please use Lakelse Avenue or Park Avenue.

Please obey signage and flaggers in the area. Thank you for your patience while we complete these upgrades!

📣 Important! The City of Terrace is resurfacing the 4500 block of Lazelle Ave beginning as early as September 3. Construction is scheduled to finish by early October. 🚧

➡️ Our office building will still be open, however, please be aware that street parking on the block will not be available during the construction period. There is street parking north and south of our office on Lakelse Ave and Park Ave, and parking is also available at the Sportsplex.

➡️ Because of the lack of parking, we're making garbage tags available for purchase over the phone ($10 minimum) to be delivered via mail during the construction period.

Thank you for your patience!
