When an individual is elected to public office, they assume a responsibility that extends far beyond those who cast a ballot in their favour. They become a representative of the entire community, every resident, every family, every voice. Good governance requires keeping this broader duty at the forefront of every decision.

Moreover, effective leadership is never achieved in isolation. No matter how strong one’s intentions may be, meaningful progress is only possible when others are willing to walk alongside you. For example, even the most well-designed policy or initiative will falter without collaboration: a brilliantly envisioned idea succeeds not because one person envisioned it, but because council members commit themselves to working together. It is in that shared effort, not individual ambition, where real change takes root.

Together we achieve.

Thank You, Sylvan Lake

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to have been re-elected to serve on Sylvan Lake Town Council. Thank you to everyone who supported me, through your encouragement, conversations, and belief in a balanced, community-focused future for our town. The mix of experienced and new, energetic and passionate councillors will surely serve Sylvan well.

This campaign was truly a challenge, and I’m humbled by the trust residents have placed in me. While an official recount is taking place today, I’m thankful for the opportunity to represent our community and confident in the results. I will continue to approach the role with integrity, dedication, and respect for all voices.

To my fellow candidates, thank you for your commitment and passion for Sylvan Lake. And to everyone who voted, thank you for caring about our amazing community.

Onward and upward.
