Our Loot Kits are ready for pick-up for our September/October Junior Book Club!

Our participants chose Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for our fall read, and there are still a few spots to sign up!

Congratulations to last night's winning team - with a special appearance by the happiest photo bomber - for last night's Pub Trivia at the Diamond Valley Den. The Library Assassins took home the win! Well done, and thank you to everyone who came out for trivia!

Our winning team has selected Throne of Glass (the novel by Sarah J. Maas) as their winner's category.

Our runner-up team chose:

- Halloween
- Turkey (food or country)
- 13 or 31

Our Trivia Master Maddie will choose *one* of these categories for a trivia round. Study up, then play to win!

Finally, our "Golf Prize" team got to choose items to eliminate from the next round of Trivia! There will be no questions about Dungeons & Dragons or Fantasy Games at next month's Pub Trivia Night.

Join us back at the Diamond Valley Den on Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 p.m. to see if you have what it takes to be a Trivia Champion!

Our afterschool programs return next week!

Drop in for Anime Club, Junior D&D, and S.T.E.M. Explorers at the Library!

For Anime fans, we have split up our ages for this school year. By request of our participants, we now have a Junior Anime Club for ages 8-12, and a Teen Anime Club for ages 13+. Our Junior group will meet Mondays from 4:00-5:00 (this group will start September 14th due to the stat holiday), and our Teen group will meet Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Junior D&D returns with all new adventures this school year! Meet Tuesdays at the Library from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Suitable for new and experienced players ages 8-12, these campaigns will feature new characters and one-shot adventures. A new story will begin each session, so make sure you register for the start of the session and join early to create your character and dive into the fun! https://www.sylvanlakelibrary.ca/events-1/junior-d-d-2026-09-08-15-30

S.T.E.M. Explorers is back on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Discover science experiments, enjoy engineering challenges, explore coding and mechanical technology, solve math riddles to break codes, and more.
