Downtown Trick-or-Treating is back this Saturday!

Our Library volunteers will be handing out candy between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., while supplies last. We hope to see you there!

Banned Book Club is back next week!

Join us at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 28th at the Library to share your thoughts on Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult.

Banned Book Club exists to bring awareness and education to banned and challenged books. We will have open and civil discussion about these books that are controversial. Participants can agree or disagree with the content of the book - the only requirement to join the discussion is that they have read the book for themselves!

Our target audience is 16+, and like all of our adult programs, we encourage parents to engage with their kids that are interested and attend this book club with them.

This event is free, and drop in. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and perspective on this banned book.

Our staff attended the Alberta Stronger Together Conference this week, sharing perspectives and learning from other libraries across Alberta.

Our Director Haley, alongside Dr. Toni Samek and Luciana Erregue-Sacchi joined the Writer's Guild of Alberta on a panel discussion of Bill 28, and its impact on library services and patron privacy.

Thank you to the hosts of the Alberta Stronger Together Conference for putting this event together.

Film Society returns with the final film in our 2026 Season!
