Community Inclusion Program Registration is NOW OPEN❗️

Our first program cohort begins Tuesday October 17 and runs until December, 22 2023

WHO:
Youth and teens ages 6 to 18

WHERE:
CB Region Chapter Resource Centre: 282 George Street, Sydney NS

WHEN:
2 Cohort Groups Bi-weekly 6-8pm
Tuesdays (Tween Group) Wednesdays (Tween Group) Fridays (Teen Group)

*Participant’s Scheduled day per week will be assigned upon registration

PRICE:
Program fees are due at the beginning of each month. ($10 per session)

Our Social and Community Inclusion Program has been gaining popularity over the years. With increasing numbers of interested participants, we want to reach as many families as possible, and so we will try a bi-weekly schedule to maximize number of enrollment.

Our Social Program Facilitators are excited to welcome past and new participants as we bring back this much needed program, helping to support individuals engage in fun activities, build social skills and create ever lasting friendships.

Meet Bijal, our new program facilitator with ‘AU-Some connections Play n’ Learn’.

Play group continues at our centre each Wednesday morning 10:15am-11:30am.

This is a dedicated time for littles aged 5 and younger with a diagnosis (or expected diagnosis) of autism and their caregivers to play, learn and connect!

What a beautiful weekend to play, splash and be welcomed with open arms!

THANK YOU to HAWKS DREAM FIELD for the warm welcome as participants from our ‘Adult Chat n’ Chill Social program’ were all hands on deck last weekend!

What a pleasure to meet and greet our communtiy in this spectacular new space!

Did you know their Splash Pad is OPEN ALL THIS WEEKEND with SENSORY FRIENDLY PLAY TIME RESERVED from 10 AM TO 12 NOON DAILY! Continued hours Til 8pm daily.

Enjoy their canteen services again from 6-9pm tonight and from 11a-8pm Saturday.

NEXT WEEKEND, our Chat n Chillers will be back serving in the canteen - and hope for great weather again!

About Autism Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton Region Chapter

Autism Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton chapter is dedicated to improving the quality of life of Cape Bretoners living with autism. Our mandate is to advocate for improved services, provide social programs, community outreach, education, awareness and non-monetary support for individuals and families living with autism.

Our programs offers typical “tween” and “teen” social experiences along with a after-school program in an environment that is safe and supportive to the needs of our participants. In addition to our weekly evening programs, we also offer summer and march break day camps, a young adult drop in night and life skill development programs.
