Wildfire Update - Sunday, 12:55 pm: The wildfire incident by Bradshaw Rd./Road 38 has concluded.

The fire started along a remote 4 wheeler trail. Cause undetermined at this time. We want to thank our partners for their assistance: MNR, OPP, Frontenac Paramedics, Frontenac County, South Frontenac Public Works, Stone Mills Fire and Rescue and Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue who all supported South Frontenac Fire and Rescue.

We also want to send a shout out to the SFFR Food Committee who kept firefighters feed during this three day wildfire that consumed approximately 25 acres. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from reaching several residential properties that were in the fires path.

May 3-9 is Emergency Awareness Week. It is important for you and your family to have a plan in place for when an emergency takes place. Here are some quick tips for preparing for an emergency:
- 📝Your plan should include identifying two safe locations to meet up (one local, one further away in case the emergency affects a large area).
- ☎️Have important phone numbers written down, old school, to keep in your wallet or purse.
- 🎒Prepare a 'go bag' that includes, but limited to, medications, cash, clothing, matches, first-aid items, hygiene items, batteries, and a crank or battery-run radio.
- 🐕Plan to-go items for your pets as well. 🐈‍⬛
