"19:04 - May 27/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to Farm Equipment that had taken out a Powerline and started a Grass Fire in the Municipality of Swan Valley West.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find powerlines hanging from the middle of the road and a small grass fire. Hydro was quick to respond and was also following crews. Pumper 4 quickly extinguished the fire once it was safe to do so. Crews soaked the area down and ensured there was no fire and smoke.
No injuries are reported.
When hauling farm equipment, please be cautious of other users of the road as well as the surrounding environment such as powerlines, Hydro poles, etc.
The SVFD was back in service at 20:00.

"22:09 - May 26/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a Grass Fire on the corner of 3rd St N. And 12th Ave N.
Incident Command arrived on scene to find a few small grass fires and quickly extinguished them with a water extinguisher before Pumper 4 (Wildland Truck) arrived. Crews soaked the area down and ensured there was no fire and smoke.
Although we have had rain over the last few weeks, the surrounding environment is still very dry so shooting off fireworks can spark unnecessary fires.
No injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 22:30.

"12:15 - May 26/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a 2 Vehicle Accident on Main Street near McDonald's.
SVFD crews arrived on scene and conducted traffic and blocked off the scene to ensure safety of the first responders.
Minor injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 13:05.

"14:28 - May 14/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a Small Grass Fire on PR 275.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find a tree fallen over on a powerline with the ditch on fire.
Crews managed to quickly deploy the Quick Response Vehicle (Wildland Truck) and put out the grass fire along the highway.
No injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 15:10.

"14:34 - May 13/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a Grass Fire on PR 275.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find a tree top smoldering due to powerline and no other grass or other trees on fire.
Crews soaked down the area and ensured no potential fire start.
No injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 15:30.

"06:00 - May 6/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a 2 Vehicle Accident on Hwy 10 and Road 214N.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find a 2 vehicle accident. Both drivers were out of their vehicles and being examined by Swan River EMS.
SVFD crews blocked north bound traffic and kept the south bound lane open, as well as conducted battery disconnects.
Minor injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 07:05.

"11:39 - Apr 29/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a Commercial Fire Alarm at the Swan Valley Regional Secondary School.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find all the students and staff safely evacuated onto the front of the school property.
SVFD crews were notified that the alarm was on the main floor. 2 crews began a thorough search of every room.
There was nothing found that triggered the alarm activation. The building's alarm system was reset after the search. Students were able to safely return to the building around noon.
No injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 12:30.

"14:41 - Apr 28/26", The Swan Valley Fire Dept was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Accident on Hwy 83 and Main Street.
SVFD crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle that collided with a tree. The lone occupant was not trapped in the vehicle. SVFD crews provided patient care and eventually was placed in a RCMP truck to stay out of the elements and wait for EMS.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Injuries are reported.
The SVFD was back in service at 15:40.
