Again this year, in partnership with the Government of New Brunswick’s Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM), the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the New Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs (NBAFC) and our Royal Firefighters Association (RFFA), your local region fire departments will be training with the provincial Mobile Burn Unit (MBU) throughout this next week. This is a live fire training unit, so you may notice some smoke and the smell of wood burning at our Sussex Fire Department Training Centre on Leonard Drive. We will be operating mainly during the evenings this week and periodically over the course of the weekend. This is a self contained unit and there is no risk to the public. Strict regulations and oversight are being provided on site. Firefighters are participating in this training to serve and protect you, your property and your community. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we train.
