Sussex Area Community Foundation

Sussex Area Community Foundation www.sacfi.org The Sussex Area Community Foundation is autonomous and governed by a group of volunteers.

The Foundation holds a pool of community donation which it invests. Earnings from this investment are returned to the community in the form of grants and scholarships. Twice every year the SACF distribute grants to local non-profits to help them provide valuable services and programs to the Sussex area. SACF also awards scholarships each June to students in the Sussex Area.

The New Brunswick Federation of Music Festivals reported that the grant they received in the Fall of 2025 for the Sussex Music Festival was a success with over 500 students participating in everything from band, classroom singing, voice, musical theatre and piano. The festival included workshops for musical theater and band. These enrichment workshops in Sussex are possible thanks to the volunteers within the local music community that organize and prepare events for students.
The next Community Grant Applications are due on September 9, 2026 at 12pm. Community Grants are possible from donations to the Sussex Area Community Foundation to help improve the lives of those in the area.

Consider a donation to the Sussex Area Community Foundation or starting a monthly donation to help close the gap. This event was originally scheduled for SRHS, but due to renovations the location was moved.

Did you know that Sussex Area Community Foundation holds a 'Food Bank Fund' where anyone can donate to help the two local foodbanks. Foodbanks not only help those with food insecurity, but help inform, teach and assist with other necessities in life.
To donate go to the website www.sacfi.org and hit donate now button. Then look for the 'Food Bank Fund' to set up a donation.
