Thanksgiving 2025! As our family soon gathers to share a meal & each other’s company, I am reflective of our blessings & a challenging year past. Both my husband & I faced serious health conditions. I had open heart surgery 11 months ago to remove a myxoma & then just after the general election, Brent endured many weeks of radiation & chemo for throat cancer. Our SSWR community has given us bountiful love, prayers & some great meals. Our youngest daughter had a baby girl in September & our 2nd daughter will introduce us to our 9th grandchild in January. We live in gratitude as we support each other and find opportunities to give back with thankful hearts. 💕

Board members from the South Surrey-White Rock Conservative Association (EDA) were proud to pay tribute to those who serve our country in the 8th Annual Canadian Walk For Veterans at Memorial Plaza on the White Rock waterfront.

This year's theme was "Honouring the Past, Supporting the Journey" paying tribute to the brave Canadians who served in the Second World War while celebrating the ongoing contributions of today’s Veterans. Having completed their formal military service, today’s Veterans continue to lead with purpose — as community leaders, peer mentors, and advocates — shaping a stronger future for Canada’s military community.

May is Tulip Festival Month in Ottawa! Starting on 1945, the Netherlands Government has sent tulips to Canada every year in gratitude for Canada’s liberation of their country from N**i occupation.
