HUMA committee is studying homelessness and I met recently with a group of concerned people who are exploring options to provide additional shelter and supports to homeless people in Summerside, I was encouraged by the Minister’s response.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Irving.

I knew Robert for over 35 years, as the President of Cavendish Farms, a respected business leader and one of the most influential figures in Canadian industry. And that’s certainly true. But he was also so much more: a devoted husband, a proud father, a passionate hockey fan, a friend, and a businessman who generously supported many causes and projects here in PEI.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone mourning his loss, he will be missed.

Congratulations to the Summerside Western Capitals players and management on their Centennial Cup success. Appreciation and thanks is extended to the City of Summerside, SETS, and the numerous volunteers for hosting a highly successful Centennial Cup Series that was thoroughly enjoyed by many.
