🚒Joint Training Exercise🚒

Last night, members of Adelaide Metcalfe Fire Department joined forces with Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department for a valuable joint training session.

Crews participated in a simulated barn fire, focusing on key operations including pumping, water shuttle coordination, and the setup and use of Strathroy Truck 17. We also had the opportunity to incorporate a drone demonstration, highlighting how technology continues to enhance our emergency response capabilities.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who took the time to come out and train. Your dedication helps keep our communities safe.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Mullifary Dairy for generously allowing us to use their property for this training exercise.

🚒 Annual Pump Testing Complete

Today, our apparatus underwent their annual pump testing to ensure everything is operating safely and effectively when it matters most. This important process, completed by Carrier Emergency Vehicles, verifies that each truck can deliver the proper water flow and pressure needed on emergency scenes.

Regular maintenance and testing like this helps us stay ready to respond at a moment’s notice and continue providing the highest level of service to our community.

A big thank you to Carrier Emergency Vehicles for their expertise and support in keeping our equipment in top condition.

🚒 Training Night – Bus & Vehicle Extrication 🚒

Tonight, members of the Adelaide Metcalfe Fire Department took part in hands-on training focused on bus and vehicle extrication.

These scenarios are complex and require precision, teamwork, and quick decision-making. Our firefighters practiced advanced techniques to safely access and remove patients from larger vehicles and challenging situations—skills that can make all the difference when seconds count.

Training like this ensures we’re always ready to respond when our community needs us most.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making tonight’s training a success.
