This year we celebrated another amazing labour day at the Stratford-Perth Museum. The day was a huge success thanks to the support and collaboration of many local unions. The participants enjoyed a free hot dog provided by the steel workers while participating in a variety of events such as face painting and button making from OPSEU, education support information and fun toys thanks to CUPE to name a few. We also had the emergency, fire and police vehicles out in full force with lights flashing to show their solidarity.
A huge thank you to the President of the Stratford & District Labour Council, Patti-Jo Lindner, for all of her work, leadership and guidance organizing the events behind the scene along with many other voluntary members of the council.
Thanks as well goes out to Trena at the Stratford Perth Museum who was an enormous help during our set up.
