WINTER WEATHER PREP

Winter weather has returned, and Stratford’s Public Works division is ready for it.

Crews have already begun treating roads in advance of the snow expected to fall toward the end of this week.

That includes anti-icing, which is a proactive step that involves applying a melting agent (liquid salt brine) to the roadway to help prevent snow and ice from sticking to the road surface.

The amount of salt included in the brine is carefully controlled to minimize the impact on the environment.

A new local option to get to Toronto, and reasonable time 1:45 to Pearson and then take down to Union station and you are in the heart of the city. This is a great addition to add to the options for visitors to Stratford. City of Stratford - The Municipality
