Meet Our Team πŸš‘πŸ’ƒ

Alannah is our newest member but a familiar face to many in the community!

EMR in 2026

β€œYou can also catch me at our local nursing home where I have worked for the last 9 years.
Away from work my time is dedicated to my 3 daughters, cheering them on in their sports and activities, spending time at the lake, and I always have a diy project on the go at home.
I love EMS because it gives me an opportunity to give back to the community and be there in someone's time of need.
I would love to see more people entering this field of work, there are shortage of staff everywhere and this career is both rewarding and essential ❀️”

πŸš‘ Unit 2283 πŸš‘

She’s the new girl in town! Swinging into action at the end of April she’s sleek, she’s powerful, she has that new car smell!

Complete with pass-through cupboards, power lift stretcher, CPR seat and a pivoting LifePak mount she’s everything we ever dreamed of! ❀️

Only time will tell if she can live up to the legacy of 1838……she’s got big tires to fill! πŸš‘ πŸ’¨

EMS since 2015

License: P*P

Student: 1 year completed into a two year program for ACP at Saskpolytech.

My life is full of adventure and responsibilities. I am a single dad of 4 amazing kids. They take up most of my extra time lol. I have been in EMS for just over ten years and I love the people, colleagues, patients, etc. it’s a privilege to be able to help our patients on what could be their worse days. My goal is to continue to learn and better myself in EMS to offer our rural communities the best possible care. I would like to see ALS services offered in more SE communities than just Estevan/Weyburn. Stoughton has an incredible team of paramedics and amazing morale. 🫢🏻.

License: P*P (Primary Care Paramedic)

EMS since 2021

Enjoys unwinding at the gym, with her horses, or chilling with friends, family and good music 🎢

Loves working in EMS because every day offers you the opportunity to have a positive impact on someone’s life. People trust us to be part of the best, and worst, days of their lives. Everyday brings new challenges and rewards.

Would love to see positive changes in work-life balance for the entire profession as well as continuing improvements in mental health resources for first responders and the the general public πŸ’“

Gayla would also like to give a shout out to our ambulance board that continues to make progressive decisions to ensure that they are supporting the mental and physical health of their employees, encouraging work/life balance while paying competitive wages. It is seen and appreciated.

Diana πŸ‘‘ 🎢 🎸 🌺

Diana is our fearless leader.
She has been in EMS since 2002 and is a Primary Care Paramedic.

When she is able to take a minute to herself she loves hanging out with her Grandson, camping, concerts, and girls trips! πŸ’ƒ

Diana has continued in this field as she knows how valuable this service is to our community and wants to ensure that all of our community members have access to emergency services when they need it.

She would like to see an emphasis on placing higher trained paramedics in rural areas with higher transport times to hospital. If this training could be achieved in a modular fashion that would allow those working in rural areas to continue working.

Diana believes this is a highly rewarding career despite the flaws in the systems and hopes that as a whole we continue to make positive changes in the work environment.

Meet Our Responders πŸš‘ ✨

Becky πŸ“ πŸ₯–

World’s okayest part time paramedic. I’ve been a P*P for three years, and work causally out of Redvers, Oxbow, Estevan, and most recently Stoughton.

Away from work, you will find me puttering around the farm with my girls or animals, or in my kitchen baking. Home really is where the heart is, and that’s also why I love EMS. It is an honour to be welcomed into our patient’s homes in their time of need. We are present on their worst, their best, and a lot of their in between days, and that is not lost on me. Being of service is a calling for us.
We are definitely not in it for the money. And that is my segue way Into what I would change about EMS. Fair pay, schedules that makes sense, and more physical, and mental health support on the management side, would be a good start in a system that is very broken. The community of Stoughton are very lucky to have the service that they do. There are a lot of committed members here, your board seems very supportive of being competitive in pay, and management works hard on optimizing work life balance in our schedules. This service and this community definitely pass vibe check, and I’m just happy to be here:)
