Parkview Services for Seniors is comprised of two Ontario Non-Profit Corporations. The Mennonite Home Association of York County was formed in 1964 to meet the need for of a Senior Citizen’s Home in Whitchurch –Stouffville area. A 63 bed care Home opened in 1965 on Rupert Avenue and a further 49 beds were added in 1971. Residents and staff moved to a new building on Weldon Road in September 2006.

This 128 bed Long-Term Care Home is fully accredited with commendation. The Parkview Village Retirement Community Association of York Region was formed in 1984, to operate a 124 unit rental apartment building which provides for independent living along with a variety of supportive services in collaboration with care partners. In 1989, The Parkview Village Cluster Homes for Seniors Association of York Region was formed to provide an independent living environment under a life lease model.

Parkview residents had a wonderful time at our Parkview Alzheimer Walk yesterday! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff, volunteers, and family members whose support helped make this event such a success.
We are proud to share that Parkview Services for Seniors will also be participating in the 2026 Alzheimer Walk with the Alzheimer Society of York Region in less than 24 hours!

Fridays are for fun at Parkview Village and today was a busy one!
This morning, residents learned about the soap-making process, adding essential oils and colours to create their own unique samples to take home.
This afternoon, we held our very first Ukulele class. With no prior experience, everyone gave it a try and learned some basic skills and chords to carry into the next session. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and excitement as we explored a new instrument together!

Long weekends are made for celebrations, dancing, and great memories — and Parkview Village kicked off the holiday weekend in style! Our 50’s Dance Party was a huge success, with residents dressing the part, showing off their best dance moves, and filling the room with laughter and joy. From classic tunes to retro fashion, everyone had an amazing time celebrating together. So much fun!!

There’s something truly special about bringing generations together. Last night, Parkview Village had a wonderful visit from some of the Stouffville Sparks, and the joy in the room was contagious! Together we created art and made a sign, played a fun balloon game, listened to the girls sing classic Girl Guide songs, and finished the evening with delicious ice cream. The laughter, smiles, and connections shared reminded us all how rewarding intergenerational programs can be. We ended the night glowing with joy.
