Edit: I learned he died of natural causes.

For those of you that donated and blessed Todd when he went from Lakeview Recovery to his apartment in Edmonton a few months ago, thank you again.

Todd will be missed and he will be remembered. 😞

I will be attending his funeral on Friday.

Yesterday, I helped a young man move his belongings from one storage unit he shared with his mom to another storage unit. (Yes, many of our friends have storage units and hold onto them as long as possible with all their belongings in them, and sometimes they lose them for lack of payment.)

FFT is always looking for bins to help our friends stay dry and organized.

There were some bins for $10 on Marketplace that I found. When I told the person about FFT, they gladly gave me the bins for free, and I even did another porch pick‑up from this kind person for a couple more bins and miscellaneous things that were requested on this page.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Those bins made it so much easier.

I’ll continue to request bins if anyone has any to help our friends stay organized and dry.

Thanks to Parkland Ventures nonprofit Thrift store in Stony Plain and to all the others this persons needs have been met.

Nothing else needed.

I have a young man that has moved out into his own place from renting a bedroom and he gave me a list of things he needs
Can you please look over this list and see if there’s anything you can bless him with I can do a porch pick up.
Side note: he could use a microwave as well

He has since been able to get:

A dresser
2 night stands
Coffee table
2 side tables

I got a call from the Holy Trinity Church’s Catholic Woman’s League on Monday, they had some food left over from a funeral.
I’m so grateful for these calls they always come at a time when someone is reaching out for food, or so it seems. And there was someone reaching out for food and I was able to pass this blessing on to him.
He had just moved into his own apartment and spent all his money on getting into this apartment and had none left for food. He is working and will get to the food bank but needed a little help until he could get there. I gave him the box. He had to say thank you with a hug and said I saved him. But I didn’t save him, his Tricommunity saved him.

Pet Foods Etc is truly a community‑minded local pet food store. Last Saturday they hosted a free Community BBQ, and in the spirit of giving, they blessed FFT with their delicious leftovers from Grove Meats — another great local business.
What a generous gesture from Pet Foods Etc. Thank you for supporting our unsheltered community.
