Celebrate Scottish Culture right here in Stettler!

Alberta Culture Days are coming to Stettler September 1–29, with a full lineup of events celebrating Scottish culture, local talent, community pride and creativity!

From Highland Cow Painting and Celtic Knot Crochet to Scotch Pies, Oat Cakes, Scottish Genealogy, a Cultural Food Tour and more, there’s something for everyone to discover, experience and celebrate.

There is limited space available, pre-registration is required for many events!

🚧 Road Work Notice – 50th Ave.

Starting tomorrow, September 15, asphalt milling crews will be working on 50th Ave. near the school.

The road will remain open; however, drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible. If travelling through the area, please watch for flaggers and expect possible delays.

Do you have a large evergreen tree that has outgrown its space, become difficult to maintain, or no longer fits your property plans?

The Town of Stettler is looking for a suitable evergreen to serve as the Main Street Christmas Tree this holiday season. If your tree is selected, Town crews will arrange for its removal and give it a new purpose as a centerpiece of our community Christmas celebrations.

If you know of a tree that might be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!

A company will be onsite tomorrow to remove several pieces of equipment from Rosedale Park for repairs.

Recycling Bins Are Being Delivered!

New blue recycling bins are currently being delivered throughout the community. Bins will be placed at the front of your property during delivery.

Please note: Your recycling will continue to be picked up from the same location as before. The delivery location of your new bin does not change your regular recycling collection location.

Request for Donation to a Local Not-For-Profit Organization - Chairs

The Town of Stettler is offering surplus chairs for donation to eligible local not-for-profit organizations in accordance with Town Policy V-2(b).

Available chairs include:
• 200 brown chairs from the Stettler Community Hall
• 140 grey chairs with metal frames from The Hub

Organizations may request all or a portion of the available chairs, where reasonably divisible.

Deadline: September 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Linda Willkie, the lucky winner of our Music in the Park Passport prize package!

Thank you to everyone who collected stamps, joined us for the concerts, and helped make this year’s Music in the Park series such a success. 🎶

We hope you enjoyed the music and the summer evenings in the park. A big thank you to our sponsors and everyone who helped make these events possible!

Rolling out to you October 2026. The Town is transitioning its residential recycling program to the provincial Circular Materials program.

Starting October 7th for green zone collection and October 14th for red and yellow zone collection, all recycling materials will need to be placed into blue recycling carts that are set to be delivered over this weekend to properties in town.

Every property that currently receives curbside/backalley recycling pick up will be delivered a recycle cart.
