Hi SES Families!! Happy Labour Day Weekend to everyone!

It's almost that time - Here is some of the information you are looking for regarding the first day of school at SES:

*The first day of school this year for your Grade 4 & 5 child/children is Wednesday, September 9th.

*The school doors open at 8:40am. Classes begin at 8:55am.

*It will be a full day (8:55 am - 3:05 pm), so please ensure that your child has a recess snack and a lunch (our lunch break is from 11:55 am - 12:50 pm). There are no microwaves available to students.

*We recommend sending a water bottle with them for drinks (we have a filtered water fountain).

*There will be no Breakfast Program during the first week (It will start up on Monday, September 14th).

*For information regarding busing, please visit: https://www.nlschools.ca/studentsfamilies/studenttransportation.jsp

*You will receive a phone call on Tuesday evening (September 8th) with information regarding your child’s teacher and classroom.

There were some items left at SES in June (in classrooms & lockers). If you see something here that belongs to your child that you would like to come get, we will be at school today from 9-3 pm (if you are unable to get here today, please message and we will put it aside for you).

Happy Summer SES Families!!

We still have about 4 weeks left of summer, but we know that some of you are starting 'Back to School' shopping, so without further 'ado', here are the SES School Supply Lists for the upcoming year (be sure to confirm that you are looking at the right one before you shop - we have different lists for each grade, and for French Immersion and English).

NLSchools is hosting a School Bus Driver Job Fair at the bus depot, 300 O'Connell Drive, on July 28 & 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

If you know anyone who has been considering becoming a school bus driver, send them our way! We're here to answer questions, guide them through the process, and help them every step of the way.
