TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
Please be advised of a temporary road closure on Sunday, September 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to safely accommodate the Kids of Steel Triathlon.
Road Closure:
The temporary road closure will extend from the Caribou Curling Club on Massachusetts Drive to the bridge on West Street where it meets Massachusetts Drive.
Youth participating in the Kids of Steel Triathlon will be completing the cycling and running portions of the event along this route.
For the safety of the young athletes, volunteers, motorists, and spectators, please avoid the affected section of road during this time and respect all road closure barriers and directions from event personnel.
Access to Nearby Facilities:
Massachusetts Drive toward Port Harmon will remain accessible.
The following facilities will also remain accessible by vehicle using the roads behind and around the Bay St. George YMCA and Caribou Curling Club:
• Harmon Ball Diamonds
• Skate Park
• Outdoor Courts
Dog Park Access:
The Dog Park will not be accessible by vehicle during the temporary road closure.
The Dog Park itself will remain accessible to those travelling on foot via the Stephenville Heritage Trail.
Regional Aquatic Center Detour:
If you need to access the Regional Aquatic Center during the temporary road closure, please use the following detour:
Caroline Avenue → Alabama Drive → Oregon Drive → Tennessee Drive → Regional Aquatic Center
