Long ago I wondered what kind of furniture I'd like to put in my Man Cave. Well, I don't have a Man Cave, but I do have what I think would work well in the right environment. The wood is recycled. The glass panels, I picked up years ago, are tempered with a smokey colour. This set is for sale. We have a table, two tall X stools, two short X stools, two end tables and one coffee table and six glass panels. Stain is Dark Walnut and a urethane finish. It's rough in a few places and absolutely crazy. This is a SET and will not be sold separately. To save time the price has been aggressively haggled and the bottom line is a firm $1,200.00. I'll leave this info here for a few days and then send it off to Marketplace if it is still available.

A comment by one of our Folders Club Members has caused me to hatch a plan and have a little fun.

I get pictures of Littles playing with or using my stuff but, I never post any of them without permission.

Some pictures with Littles, using a Folder, are SO wonderful. I invite you to think about posting your Little doing anything with your MLH (Momma's Little Helper).

We all want to see some Littles having fun

A couple of months ago I told Carol that I was going to build 5 Folders. She said great, how many orders do you have? None I said, I don't have any orders. Then she said, why are you going to do that work and wood. So I said "Have you ever heard the saying "If you build it, they will come" and that worked, so ergo "If I build them, Mon, Dad, Gram.. will buy them"
So I built them and people came, and bought them, people said nice things about our Folders. Their friends came and bought more.

So I made 6 more and NOW I have none.

Ya, those five are sold.

Monday I start a new batch.

If y'all want one Please drop me a note.

An E-transfer deposit of $50.00 is required to place an order.
Unfortunately, a number of people have caused us to implement this requirement.
If circumstances cause you to NOT be able to complete the transaction, you will receive a full refund.

HI there. 2 days till May, my favorite month. You see 72 years ago, this coming May 24 I arrived into this world. Oh what I've seen. WOW I'm happy with what I've done over the years and where I am today. (Age and Location) These days I get up each morning and have my coffee, kiss my lovely wife good morning and plan what nothing I want to do today.

Yup, then I head to the shop to, as I call it "make sawdust". Making stuff for Littles that I don't know, will never meet, maybe see a picture of or video of my work at play and that is more than enough satisfaction. I don't seem to have much competition and I think that is because no one will work for $0.37 an hour. Well maybe not quite that low but you get the idea.

The Climber Days seem to have passed us and I'm not quite sure why. I suppose having made over 330 of them has something to do with it. By this I mean that they must be being passed along to family or friends when Littles tire of them. If that is so, I am so very happy.

Our Folding Momma's Little Helpers are doing well. Sold number 61 yesterday and it will be picked up tomorrow. I make batches of 5 or 6 and they just seem to disappear.

The same can be said for our Sturdy Stools. They are made of recycled wood and are, what some people call, Rustic. We clean up the wood pieces and sand rough areas but other than throw some stain on them they are ROUGH and Sturdy

There is one VERY BIG down side to doing this type of work.

On Amazon, you place your order and it gets delivered FREE. It isn't free, the shipping cost is built into the price. But we are so happy to get FREE SHIPPING.

I charge a flat rate fee of $50.00 for shipping and HANDLING. What is handling you might ask. Well, the Folding MLHs go into a box that cost me $10.00, to make shipping easier and less damage. Then there's Labour for packaging, tape, packing material etc., making and printing way bills, traveling to the bus station or post office.

You order a $110.00 MLH and I want $50 to ship it to you. That's outrageous. You're damn right it is. My monthly bill from the courier I use lists the costs and 47% of the last months bill was FUEL SUR CHARGE FORTY SEVEN PERCENT

If you take the $10 packaging fee from the $50.00 fee you get $21.00 Shipping and $19.00 GAS

I've thought of advertising our Folding MLH for $160.00 free shipping. I have a hard enough time selling them for $110.00

There, I feel better now.

Please pass this shipping message along. Not just for me, but for anyone who is trying to make a buck.

April showers forecast for today so there will be lots of flowers for my birthday.

Stay Safe youse guys, have a great summer.

A bit of a special day. These are three pictures of the largest single order CCC has ever received. These are no's 322 through 329. Four, 4 piece sets. Damn, that was a lot of work. Very Special Thanks to our Head of Sanding Operations, Carol Jackson.

Keurig Lament
If you want, a good cup of coffee
And you want it just right,
Put your cup in its proper spot,
Before you push the Blue Light.

You and others have tried it in very different ways.
But then, you seemed unhappy and filled with dismay.
When you come for your coffee and find there’s no mug.
You stand there, bewildered, you’ve just wasted your morning drug.

Into the empty tray your coffee did flow.
Flow over the counter and down to the floor, way below.
To add insult to injury, your morning time, it is up,
So, it’s off to Timmy’s, and in a line, wait for a cup.

When you get to work, others need to take care.
Because you’re so cranky, but that’s not very fair,
It’s not their fault that you’re like a thick-headed mule.
All you had to do, was follow the “coffee making rule”.

So, if you want, a good cup of coffee.
And you want to start, the day just right,
Put your cup in its proper spot,
Before you push that damn little Blue Light.

The Glide Rider
The following are comments by our test family using the prototype Glide Rider. Kiddo-1 has been diagnosed as Autistic.
We built the Rider so he could use the Glide to rock himself when he needs his alone time or just to play, chill out or have a snooze.
Some of the following text has been adjusted, by myself, to help the reader understand what is being talked about.
Glide Rider Update
Absolutely you can use them (Me. Go ahead permission to use pictures and observations supplied by our test family)
My other Kiddo-2 is only 11m old, I put him in it to see what he thought, but he was in a rolling/crawling, anywhere but where I'd like him to be stage, so he wasn't thrilled.
Kiddo-1 is absolutely LOVING it. He lays down and rocks himself in it a couple times a night. It's a really a wonderful piece to have, as it’s easily accessible to him as the stand allows it to be. (Open ends so the little guy can walk in and onto the Glide)
So far everything is amazing.
(The bad stuff)
For the glider, the only two real disadvantages of the stand, is the size/less than easy disassembly and something to hold on to rock with. So, if there were bars for him to hold onto to push/pull or as my mom suggested, a removable handle of some sort. To be honest though he puts his foot in the top corner and pushes himself that way.
Advantages though are miles long.
Ease of access both for Kiddos and parent.
I used it to rock my youngest to sleep two nights ago because he was so sick and nothing else worked. The Glide swinging put him right to sleep and because it's so open I was able to just lift him out and transfer to bed with ease.
Kiddo-1 also really likes to stand on it, like a surfboard, while holding the top bars. He wouldn't be able to do that under the climber.
I even had it bigger kid tested (9yo old about 80lbs) and both structures didn't even flex under their weight.
End
This test period is about 4-5 weeks long.

While preparing this document, I notice that a side panel opened up on the right of the screen. I didn’t pay any notice until I stopped typing and there was typing going on in that panel. So, I clicked on it and there was an AI produced response to the contents of work.
The following are the unaltered AI comments.
It’s great to hear that the structure has been so useful for you and your family! It sounds like the open design of the structure is a big advantage, allowing you to easily access your child and transfer them to bed. It’s also great that the structure is sturdy enough to support the weight of a 9-year-old without flexing. I’m glad to hear that your youngest was able to sleep soundly on the structure, and that your older child enjoys playing on it as well. It’s always great to have a versatile piece of equipment that can be used in a variety of ways.
Summary: It seems like the open design and sturdiness of the structure have been particularly helpful for your family, especially when it comes to getting your youngest to sleep. It’s great that your older child is also able to enjoy playing on it. Is there anything else I can help you with?
