The 2026 Census if well underway, residents will be able to obtain a paper copy from our enumerators that are conducting in person visits in your community. They will have to complete the form in-person with our enumerator as we can not leave these forms behind. If residents wish to do the paper form on their own, they can call the Census Helpline at 1-833-852-2026 and request a paper copy that will be mailed to them. They can also call the helpline and do it over the phone with an operator. Collection for the census will continue over the next couple months and end sometime in July so there is still plenty of time for individuals to get their census completed.

FYI
Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) is responsible for the property assessments in Town, an appraiser from SAMA will be conducting annual maintenance field inspections in the Town in order to update the assessment roll. The inspections will be at properties where a change in assessment value may occur, such as those properties with new dwellings, garages, sheds, decks, additions to dwellings, etc., as well as removal of buildings or assessable structures. The appraiser only needs to do an EXTERIOR inspection in order to obtain the dimensions/size, class & condition of the structure in question. If the property owner is not at home, the appraiser will leave a door hanger with their attached business card. The SAMA appraiser will have the proper identification marked on their vehicle, as well as carrying an identification card.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of former Mayor Tony Leeson who faithfully served the community for 6 years.
During his time in office Tony demonstrated unwavering dedication to public service and a deep commitment to the well being of our residents, He led with integrity, compassion and a strong sense of responsibility, always striving to make decisions that reflected the best interest of our community.
Beyond the title of Mayor, Tony was a respected teacher, colleague, mentor, neighbor and friend. His thoughtful approach, steady guidance and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on council, staff and residence.
On behalf of council, staff and the entire community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Tony’s family and loved ones. We are grateful for the years of service and dedication that Mayor Lesson gave to our community.

Hope to see everyone there.
