Its' Fire Fighter Friday! Lt Darcy Robinson has been with the St. Marys Fire Department for almost 11 years now. Lt. Robinson is our team leader for Ice and Water rescue and organizes many of SMFD's special training sessions revolving around low slope rescue and Ice and Water rescue. Darcy is hard working, dependable, is a great mentor, officer and instructor. Keep up the Great work Lieutenant Robinson.

It's Fire Fighter Friday! SMFD is pleased to announce that Mark Manzano has completed his probationary period with St. Marys Fire. Mark is also the newest member of our water and Ice rescue team and one of our members that are taking the Ontario Fire college course right here in St. Marys next month. Mark has a passion for serving the town of St. Marys and is a great Fire Fighter. Keep up the great work #15!

Camping and cottage nights are for relaxing, not reacting.

With peak season in full swing, campfires and BBQs are everywhere. But one unattended flame can spread fast in dry conditions.
Don’t leave it till it’s out:
✔ pour water on it
✔ stir it up to ensure no hidden embers
✔ make sure it’s completely cool

Because the only thing that should be spreading this summer is good vibes.

Reminder: check your local fire bans before lighting any open fire.
