Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador The Community Foundation of NL promotes community enhancement, enrichment, and engagement by providing grants to community organizations the province.

The Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador (CFNL) promotes and sustains healthy communities across our province by providing grant funding to a wide range of community organizations. We combine our broad, province-wide reach with a grassroots focus on small organizations that can have a major impact in their local communities. Our goal is to address community problems and to enrich the

lives of community members. CFNL is one of more than 180 community foundations in Canada that have collectively contributed $154 million in grants to community organizations. CFNL was founded in 2001 and now holds more than $800,000 in endowed assets, administers more than 20 funds, and has given out more than 120 grants totaling over $200,000.

There's a wonderful event on midwifery tonight supported by our FIG Fund. Discuss the past and future of midwifery in this province to mark !

Today is ! One way we support children and youth to be active participants in their own lives is helping keep them informed of their rights. Check out this great resource created by YWCA Canada - http://ywcarightsguide.ca/.

Join an instant choir with Growing The Voices: Festival 500 tomorrow (Saturday) at 3 p.m. in the atrium at Atlantic Place in St. John's.

As an homage to Gord Downie, Sean Panting will lead the choir in a rendition of the Tragically Hip's hit Ahead By A Century.

Doors open at 2:30. Singing starts at 3:00. Admission $5 at the door.

This year's Vital Signs report shows that 1 in 4 NL seniors has a mental health issue. Providers like Stella's Circle are struggling to cope.

Some residents of Stella's Circle are aging out of their program and there aren't many places they can go.
