When the rating is high:

Permits to Burn brush and other materials are suspended

-Outdoor fires (e.g. campfires) are permitted with conditions

- Activities on forested land should be conducted with extreme caution.
Use of fire works and sky lanterns is banned.

Burning of brush is allowed with permits obtained through forestry.

Outdoor fires are permitted but with conditions. please refer to the provincial government website in the link below. Click “conditions.”

The Fire hazard map is updated daily around 2 pm.

🚨💥On Friday June 5, 2026, we will be hosting a Charity Dinner in support of Ronald McDonald House, NL and the incredible work they do for families with sick children.

Many of us have either experienced this support firsthand or know someone who has. During such difficult times, having a place to stay close to your child while they receive treatment means everything ❤️

We invite you to come out and support this very worthwhile cause while enjoying a delicious meal and an evening of entertainment!

The evening includes

💥Choice of Stuffed Chicken Breast or BBQ Rib Dinner
💥Dessert with tea/coffee
💥Live Entertainment featuring the very talented Jonathon Reid
💥Guest MC
💥50/50 Draw & Raffle Prizes throughout the night

🎟️Tickets are available in person from either Jigs & Reels, The Treasure Trove or Annette Bishop-Higdon.

✅Tickets are $50 each with $20 from each ticket going directly to RMH.
