Roots, Rants and Rhymes Conference Performer Spotlight!
Tina Fisher and Jane Bannister will be on stage to immerse us in the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program!
Tina started working for Daybreak Child and Family Centre over 24 years ago in the position Community Outreach Worker. She loves working with families and helping them find their community, watching relationships grow, and strengthening bonds with their children.
In 2002 she trained as a Parent Child Mother Goose Facilitator and has been singing, rhyming and telling stories ever since. Tina believes in the power of using language through songs and rhymes to foster attachment, and supports children’s social, cognitive, emotional, and language development all while building parent’s confidence in parenting.
Tina has two adult children who are her biggest accomplishments. They have taught her that parenting is not about being perfect – it's about loving, listening, and doing your best.
Jane Bannister has been working with Daybreak's Mother Goose program since 2017, but spent many years before that as a parent taking her three children to Mother Goose!
With a love of singing, word play and folk songs, Jane enjoys how the Mother Goose program gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to connect with their children and their community while being immersed in culture and history.
We are so excited to have Tina and Jane join us on our performance stage for AECENL's 34th Annual Provincial Conference on October 3rd, 2026 to sing us into the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program and Daybreak Child and Family Centre!
