The St. John’s Status of Women Council/Women’s Centre is a feminist organization that since 1972 is continually working to achieve equality and justice through political activism, community collaboration and the creation of a safe and inclusive space for all women and gender-diverse people in the St. John’s area. They are passionate about feminism, s*x worker rights, ending all forms of gender-based violence, wage parity & childcare, increasing women and gender-diverse people in government & leadership, community, and activism.

Last night, Volunteer Canada was honoured to help celebrate the 2024 and 2025 awards recipients. Thank you to all of the winners who contribute to communities from coast to coast to coast.
