Signal Hill has always been the place to get that perfect group photo, even back in the 1950s!

This photo was shared by Debbie, featuring her mother and friends near Queen's Battery. From left to right is Betty Connolly, Marlene Ash, Maude Pittman, Anita Eustace, and Leona Lundrigan.

It's fitting since we are celebrating public stewardship and the many ways people make use of the site for the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Signal Hill as a National Historic Site.

In fact, there will soon be opportunities to get your photo taken at Signal Hill this summer at a special temporary exhibit so your memories can be enjoyed by generations to come! Keep an eye out for more info coming soon👀

As folks start visiting Signal Hill more often during our operating season, we want to remind everyone that parking may be a challenge during our busiest hours (around 12 - 5 pm).

If you are planning to drive to Signal Hill and wish to avoid a crowd or parking challenge, we suggest visiting outside of those hours (depending on what activities you plan to do) or considering alternate forms of transportation such as walking or carpooling.

Regardless of how you plan to arrive, be sure to never block bus or emergency vehicle lanes!
