✨We’re back!✨

After a well deserved break, 510 is back to training tonight. Here are some pictures from our events leading up to the winter break. 510 had the privilege to march in a local holiday parade, and the 510 Choir had their very first performance! Lastly, we ended the year off with a relaxing pyjama movie night full of snacks and laughter. 🍿🥤🍬

🎖️WO2 Gagnon Highlight🎖️

Our Squadron Commander, WO2 Gagnon was recognized last week for two tremendous achievements. After completing the Glider Pilot Training Course, WO2 Gagnon was selected as the top student for his course. This earned him the Air Force Association Medal and during the Air Cadet League visit, he was presented with his medal. Also, after completing over 4 years in the Air Cadet Program, WO2 Gagnon received his service medal for his commitment and dedication to the Air Cadet Program. Congratulations WO2 Gagnon, 510 is so proud of you! 🦁

🎯 Zone Marksmanship Competition 🎯

This past weekend, 510 took aim at the Zone Marksmanship Competition hosted at HMCS Cabot! Our cadets spent the day demonstrating their marksmanship skills, connecting with teammates, and meeting fellow cadets from across the area.

We’re eagerly awaiting the results but win or lose, we couldn’t be prouder of how far our team has come in just a few short months. Their progress, determination, and team spirit truly hit the mark!

🛫 510 Soars in Clarenville 🛬

510 was fortunate to have clear skies this weekend for a day full of gliding. Our day was filled with learning, smiles, and dreams come true. 510 appreciates every opportunity to go flying and thanks the staff who make it all possible. It was truly a full circle moment, with our very own FSgt Gagnon helping with training as one the area’s newest pilots.

🗞️ 510 in the News! 📰

Two of 510’s extraordinary cadets had the privilege to be featured in the National Air Cadet League Newsletter! FCpl Jones and FSgt Gagnon spoke about their exciting summer experiences, and how much the Air Cadet Program and 510 has helped them learn new skills. A big 510 Roar to these two cadets for representing 510 and the Air Cadet Program so well!

🦁 510’s Newest Pilot ✈️

A huge 510 ROAR and CONGRATULATIONS to FSgt Gagnon on earning his Glider Wings this summer at CTC Saint-Jean! Along with his wings, FSgt Gagnon was also awarded the Royal Canadian Air Force Association Medal for being the top cadet in his class. Job well done FSgt Gagnon, 510 is so proud of you! 🦁

🚒 Career Day at CTC Argonaut 🧑‍🚒

While attending the Survival Instructor Course, Sgt Byrne and Sgt Squires had a fantastic opportunity to speak with members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) about potential career paths within the Military! The day included many hands on demonstrations and multiple opportunities to try on job related gear and tools. 🛠️
