of Alexander, Powerview-Pine Falls and surrounding communities. It is a busy and growing facility offering essential community services. Allard Library has been an exceptional community space. Fully 60% of the 4272 residents hold active library cards. Home to some 20,000 books and serving members of the community, from the youngest to the most senior, Allard Library is one of the oldest bilingual
libraries in Manitoba. It is also one of the few francophone community services available in the area. The library provides much more than books and magazines. It is the Community Connections centre for the area, offering wireless internet access for laptop users and also providing computer stations, enabling email and word processing for community members. Allard Library provides summer reading programs; lifelong learning resources, literacy, photocopy, fax and many more much needed services to the community.
