🥳 What a wonderful time celebrating our August, September, and October birthdays! From games and door prizes to our lucky plate and cup, there was plenty of fun throughout the afternoon. Gary Gill’s joined us with his accordion for some lively Newfoundland Jigs, and it wasn’t long before our residents were up dancing, clapping their hands, and enjoying the music! 🪗🎶
Lots of smiles, laughter, and special memories made with everyone. A big happy birthday to all our wonderful residents celebrating their special day! ❤️

We would like to extend a Happy Nurses Week to all of our community partners. In each of our homes we are pleased to work alongside nursing teams from NL Health Services as well as nurses in private practice, all of whom are dedicated to each of our residents.

This holiday weekend we at Kingsway Living GFW are thankful for each resident who chooses to make our location home.

We are thankful for our top notch staff who went above and beyond to celebrate with our residents and work hard everyday make our location a home.

We are incredibly excited to announce the appointment of Mrs. Heather Brown as the new Chief Executive Officer of Kingsway Living!

Heather is a Registered Nurse with 32 years of experience in the provincial health system with progressive management experience in long term care and community supports.

Heather began her senior management career as Vice President of Rural Health at Central Health in 2007 and expanded her portfolio to include Long Term Care and Community Supports from 2013-2018 where she was responsible for the licensing and monitoring of Personal Care Homes in that region, while also working with the Department of Health and Community Supports to advance the Home First agenda to support seniors living in the community.

Heather’s most recent accomplishment was serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Labrador Grenfell Regional Health Authority from June 2018 to March 2023 where she cultivated a wealth of knowledge and experience leading one of the provinces four regional health authorities and is revered as a leader in health and executive leadership.

Heather has a great passion for supporting seniors to live as independently as possible and promote healthy aging in the province.

Heather will continue to lead Kingsway Living to live out our values of integrity, respect and care as we strive for excellence in the delivery of high quality service for our residents as the “Home of Choice”.

We are very excited to launch our first annual partnership with The Salvation Army in Newfoundland & Labrador called "Under the Christmas Tree". From now until December 23rd you can drop off gifts, cards or anything to help our families over the holidays. As Darrin our Regional Manager for Central said "anything helps". We will have drop off locations in our Kingsway Living Homes in Grand Falls-Windsor, Lewisporte and Green Bay. We are accepting toys for children age 0-18!

This is the most wonderful time of year, and for some it can be a very stressful time. We want to ensure the families in our local communities do not have to stress this year as we help make everyones holiday wishes come true!

So please take the time to stop into our homes and leave a gift for someone special in our community!
