Before anyone asks, yes, this cartoon image is inspired by an actual photo taken onsite showing youth climbing on fences and historic infrastructure.

We intentionally changed the image to protect privacy while still sharing an important message: these barriers exist for safety, preservation, and to protect the historic features that make this place special.

The Mill was the focal point of our community and so was the rink.

One powered livelihoods, the other powered winter nights, early mornings, and generations of memories. Both were places where neighbours met, stories were shared, and a small community felt big.

Today, as our Municipality prepares a bid for Kraft Hockeyville, we’re reminded that community spirit isn’t something new here it’s something we’ve always had. From the Mill to the rink boards, Spencerville has always come together when it matters most.
