What’s a Housing Needs Assessment?
It’s a study that looks at whether a community has the right kinds of housing for current and future residents - including affordability, housing types, and population trends. The results help municipalities plan for growth, make land-use and infrastructure decisions, and apply for housing and infrastructure funding.

Please join us on Thursday, July 10th from 5-7pm to celebrate 50 years of council. We will be having a free barbecue at Eastern Kings Community Center with hot dogs, and hamburgers. There will be a cake cutting at 5:45. We hope to see you there!

We will be celebrating 50 years of council with a community barbecue in July! If you have any newspaper clippings or photographs of council from these fifty years we would love to put them on display at this event. Feel free to drop in, call or email if you have something to share.

Please see the PEI Energy Corporation's website for details on when wind turbine components will be transported to Eastern Kings. Transport is currently scheduled to begin May 16th.
