🍎✏️ Back to School Reminder
School is back in session for many children in Smiths Falls! Let's work together to keep everyone safe:
🚸 Children – use crosswalk or crossing guard, obey traffic signals, and watch carefully for vehicles before crossing.
🚗 Drivers – you must stop for crossing guards and remain stopped until all children are safely across and the guard has left the roadway.
👏 A big thank you to our crossing guards for their dedication to keeping our kids safe every day!

The Town of Smiths Falls joins communities across Canada in recognizing Firefighters' National Memorial Day. Today, we honour and remember the firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to keeping others safe continue to inspire us all.

As a sign of respect and remembrance, flags will be flown at half-mast to honour the fallen firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Smiths Falls Fire Department and firefighters everywhere who serve their communities with professionalism and dedication every day.
