The Rideau Canal is a chain of beautiful lakes, rivers and canals winding 202 km from Kingston, at the head of Lake Ontario, to Ottawa, Canada's capital city. One of Canada's historic canals, the Rideau is maintained and operated by Parks Canada to preserve and present the canal's natural and historic features, as well as to provide a navigable channel for boaters.

🚧 Brass Point Bridge Closure Notice 🚧

Beginning June 25, 2026, Brass Point Bridge in Seeley’s Bay will close to all vehicular traffic as Parks Canada undertakes a full bridge replacement project. Pedestrian access will remain available, and watercraft navigation will continue during operating hours. Reopening is expected in December 2027.

🚧 Update: Watsons Mill Dam Repairs
Additional repair work is required at Watsons Mill Dam. As a result, the dam crossing will be closed nightly from June 2 to 4 while crews complete this important public safety work. Please follow all posted signage and directions from staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
