🎨 Experience creativity in motion at the 2026 Big Art Walk on Saturday, July 25th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM in beautiful downtown Smiths Falls. 👨‍🎨 TICKET link 🎟️ in the comments!

For one unforgettable day, the downtown core transforms into a vibrant outdoor art gallery featuring over 25 talented artists, 3 live musical performances, and an epic live chalk art installation by Francois Pelletier. Watch creativity unfold in real time as artists paint, perform, and engage throughout the community.

This year, we are proud to partner with Heritage House Museum, host of the En Plein Air Rideau Artist of the Year painting competition. Stroll through town and witness artists bringing their canvases to life before your eyes.

Your ticket includes:
• A reusable cloth tote bag featuring artwork from this year’s banner artists
• 3 greeting cards showcasing local art
• 2 complimentary refreshments
• Entry into the Grand Prize draw valued at $500

Registration takes place at Town Hall (77 Beckwith Street North), an accessible location with plenty of parking available. Ticket holders can redeem their swag bags and pick up the official Art Walk map between 10:00 AM and NOON.

NEW THIS YEAR — bring the kids!
Join us outside The Craft Witch and bring along a pair of old (or new!) children’s sneakers. Students from SFDCI Arts program will help children transform their shoes into unique pieces of wearable art.

Celebrate local creativity, explore downtown, and immerse yourself in a full day of art, music, culture, and community at The Big Art Walk 2026.

----> NOTE: VENUE CHANGE!

Get Ready for Tourism Season 🌞

Join the Smiths Falls & District Chamber of Commerce for a relaxed evening of networking on April 30, and hear from someone who understands local business.

I will be sharing practical marketing ideas to help businesses make the most of the tourism season. Expect a real conversation about what is actually worth your time right now, what small steps can make a big difference before summer hits, and how to set your business up so visitors can find you, choose you, and come back again.

This is not about chasing trends or trying to be everywhere online. It is about figuring out what makes sense for your business, your audience, and your time, then putting that into action in a way that feels manageable.

Whether you run a shop, restaurant, service business, or local organization, we hope to see you there.

April 30 | 5:30 to 8:00 PM

Excited to share a recent post from OBIAA highlighting downtown Smiths Falls!

Bike Night continues to show just how powerful community events can be. Today alone, we heard about a new business that chose to open here after experiencing the energy and opportunity firsthand at Bike Night. What’s even more exciting is that this new business isn’t located downtown—proving that the positive impact is reaching across our entire community.

From increased foot traffic to showcasing everything Smiths Falls has to offer, Bike Night is helping drive real growth and investment. It’s a great reminder that when we come together and celebrate our town, the benefits ripple far beyond a single street.

Proud to see Smiths Falls thriving!

Yesterday, the Chamber was proud to host a powerful and restorative Women’s Mental Health Retreat.

We were honoured to welcome **Shulamit Ber Levtov, MA, RSW — “The Entrepreneurs’ Therapist” — who helped us better understand the unique triggers, pressures, and emotional load that come with managing your own business. Her insights were thoughtful, practical, and deeply validating for so many in the room.

Shulamit is available for coaching and support at www.shula.ca

Following our learning session, Lisa from The Healing Nook guided us through a beautiful sound bath experience. For many of us, it was our first time — and it was incredibly relaxing. (Confession: I had the best sleep of my life afterwards!)

Thank you to every woman who attended. Events like this remind us that taking care of ourselves is not a luxury — it’s leadership.
