Seed starting season has begun! There are some packets of vegetable seeds in the Little Free Seed Library right now. You can come take some and return what you don't use. If you have extra seeds floating around at home too, you are welcome to drop them off to share with the community. Food security is important! Flower and fruit seeds are also welcome, of course.

A little boy from Perth was diagnosed with leukemia this weekend. He's still only 3 years old and we are all reeling with shock. We are raising money for his parents to be able to take as much time off work as they need to be with him through his treatment and not worry about bills. He began chemo on Monday. He has one month of in-patient treatment at the hospital before he might be able to go home and switch to twice weekly out-patient treatment.

*Please share this far and wide!*

I would also like to encourage you to all go out and donate blood. It saves lives! He had 3 blood transfusions and a platelet transfusion this weekend.

Don't forget about the Little Free Seed Library inside our Little Free Library! Come take some seeds and/or leave some seeds!

Please take only what you need. You can also return packets after planting as many as you want if there are seeds left over that you feel someone else may be able to use this year.

Storytime walking trails are fabulous! A storytime walking trail is a nature walk with spreads from a storybook displayed at intervals along the path. If you start at the beginning of the path and walk through to the end, then you get to read the whole book. They are wonderful encouragement for both getting out in nature AND literacy!
