September is a time to remember, reflect, and make space for truth, healing, and hope.
As we recognize Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who were taken from their families and communities, the Survivors who carry these experiences, and the families and generations affected by residential schools.
We remember. We heal. We move forward together.
Talking about intergenerational trauma can be difficult, but creating safe spaces for these conversations can help break the silence and support healing. Through connection to culture, family, community, and one another, we can build hope, belonging, meaning, and purpose.
Healing the roots helps clear the path for the children of today and tomorrow.
If you are carrying something heavy, you are not alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength.
Every child matters. Every spirit matters. Every generation matters.
