Norfolk County (Population 64,044) - Agriculture, tourism and manufacturing are major employers in Norfolk County. Our farmers supply more fruits and vegetables to Canada’s dinner tables and restaurants than anywhere else in the country. Norfolk County is Canada’s top grower of asparagus, cabbage, cucumber, ginseng, peanuts, peppers, strawberries, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. Norfolk County’s mo

st popular tourist attractions are the ports, towns and villages along Lake Erie, known as Ontario’s South Coast. Fishing is another key attraction for tourists, as well as birding, hiking, camping and cycling. Main festivals include the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show (October), July 1st Celebration in Port Dover, Lynn River Music Festival (August), Port Dover Summer Fest (August), Norfolk Studio Tour (September), Delhi Harvest Fest (September), BayFest in Port Rowan (September), Waterford Pumpkin Festival (October), PD13 (the Port Dover motorcycle enthusiasts’ event every Friday the 13th) and Simcoe Christmas Panorama (December). Agri-tourism is another expanding attraction for tourists coming to Norfolk County, with several wineries and craft breweries. There are numerous farm gate retailers.
