Join us for an evening of FREE family fun! 🙌 Enjoy a craft station, sensory activities, Storywalk®, fire safety, family games, refreshments and MORE! 💚 NCPL's mascot Branches will be there for photos, high fives, and hugs, too!

This event is part of and presented in collaboration with St. Williams Fire Station 10, the St. Williams Lions Club, the St. Williams United Church, Norfolk County EMS, and the Canadian Coast Guard!

Now is the time to get ready for next year, and your library is the place to start! celebrates handcrafted apparel and slow fashion by encouraging you to wear your home-made garments. If you've ever wanted to have a go at making pieces for your own wardrobe, here are some library resources that can help you on the way:
🪡Sewing machines you can borrow to take home and sewing machines to use in the John Race MakerSpace a the Simcoe Branch. There may even be some thread or scrap fabric available in the MakerSpace to try with!
🧑‍💻Creativebug for online tutorials in sewing, knitting, crochet, and embroidery along with many other crafts beyond garments and textiles. Your account is free with your Library Card!
📚 Books with tips, instructions, and guides on textiles and garment-making techniques including sewing, knitting, and crochet.
👕Cricut heat presses and heat-transfer vinyl for adding your own graphics to your textiles.
