Trail Camera Installation – West Gleichen Community

Siksika Land Management would like to inform residents of the West Gleichen community that a trail camera will be installed as part of the Siksika Shelterbelt Monitoring Program.

Date: Monday, November 24, 2025

Location: West and/or Northern area of the West Gleichen Community

Privacy & Safety:
- The camera will not be used for surveillance of individuals or private property.
- Footage collected will be used solely for ecological monitoring and project reporting.
- Equipment will be clearly marked and secured to avoid safety hazards.

Polling Locations:
- Siksika Nation: Deerfoot Sportsplex and Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park (B.C.H.P.) Building
- Calgary: Best Western Premier 1316 33rd Street N.E.

Mail-In Ballot Service
- A mail-in ballot service will be available for Siksika Nation members who will not be able to vote in person on Election Day.

Gleichen RCMP urges motorists to use caution on icy roads and know what to do after a winter collision.

Gleichen, Alta. – With winter weather creating slick and unpredictable road conditions, the Gleichen RCMP is reminding drivers to adjust their habits and be prepared for emergencies. Snow, freezing rain, and black ice can significantly increase stopping distances and reduce vehicle control, leading to collisions if drivers are not cautious.
