🚨 Evacuation Order Rescinded – RM of Shellbrook 🚨

The RM of Shellbrook advises that the evacuation order has been officially rescinded as of 16:45 hours today.

Residents are now permitted to return to their homes.

Please be advised that crews are still working in the area. We ask that everyone use caution when travelling and use care upon returning to their properties, as hazards may still be present.

The RM thanks all residents for their cooperation and patience during this time.

REMINDER TO EVACUEES – PLEASE REGISTER

All evacuated residents are reminded to ensure they are registered through the Saskatchewan Evacuation Registration (SER) system. Registration confirms your safety, helps the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) provide supports, and ensures you receive updates throughout the evacuation period.

How to Register

Evacuees can register using one of the following methods:

Online: Visit the Saskatchewan Evacuation Registration (SER) portal: https://app.saskecs.ca/

By Phone: Call the SPSA at 1-855-559-5502 for assistance with registration or to update your information.

Important Note

SPSA is currently contacting evacuees by phone. These calls are legitimate and are being made to support you and your household. If you miss a call, please return it when you are able.

Lobstick Fire Update

May 30, 2026 – 11:30 a.m.

The Lobstick Fire is currently estimated at approximately 19,000 hectares. For comparison, that is about the size of the city of Regina or 38 football fields.

Crews continue working hard to protect homes in the RM of Shellbrook and surrounding areas.

Current response efforts include:

β€’ Protecting homes in the RM of Shellbrook
β€’ Air tankers using retardant to protect transmission lines near Callaghan Lake
β€’ Helicopters applying fire gel to reinforce the critical transmission line north of the river in the RM of Shellbrook
β€’ Local fire crews and contractors working in Holbein to set up value protection units and sprinklers

Thank you to all crews and responders working on the front lines to help protect our communities.
